Residency Program at MHMC

Program Overview
The Family Practice residency program is a two year program that emphasizes continuity of care under the guidance of qualified primary care physicians. Residents are given the opportunity to learn the full range of family practice. The program is designed to meet the qualifications for certification by the AOA through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Patient Care
Residents spend three half-days per week in the Community Clinic of Montclair, which is located on the hospital campus. The training is rounded off with predeptor training in a variety of specialties.

Internship Training
This traditional rotating internship is designed to promote academic growth and hands-on experience under the guidance of qualified primary and specialty physicians. The educational experience is enhanced by the wide variety of academic lectures and programs, including daily morning report & rounds with medical students, residents, and attending physicians. A broad-based patient population provides an excellent opportunity for well-rounded training. Additionally, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
